The recovery and success rate all appear good and I'm keeping my fingers crossed everything will be ok without any problems.
One of my main worries is that it will be worse after the operation. I love walking and enjoy city breaks where I walk all day. I'm going to New York for seven days with my daughter in October so hopefully I'll be ok by then.
I'm also hoping I'll be able to wear nice shoes again. I don't mean really high fashion shoes, just normal pretty shoes.
By the way I'm nearly 55, very active and work as a teaching assistant with 5/6 year olds so I need to be as fit and active as I can.
I am also a Kindergarten teaching assistant. 57 and very active. I do not want to be down and out for long. Plus my daughter is getting married at our home in September and I don't have time for a lot of recovery. Hoping for surgery toward the end of February.
ReplyDeleteHi Slinda,
ReplyDeleteI really hope your surgery goes well.
My surgery was nearly three years ago now and it's still absolutely great, just like it was before. The only thing I'm aware of is wearing heels. I keep them a medium height as the ball of my foot aches if I wear anything too high but that's a minor issue in the grand scheme of things and I always wear comfortable shoes for work as you probably do.
All the best,
Kind regards
Lorraine
